MP Gareth Thomas Shows Strong Engagement at Kiswat Al Kaaba Exhibition

Gareth Thomas, Member of Parliament for Harrow West, visited the Kiswat Al Kaaba Exhibition at Harrow Central Mosque, where he spent considerable time engaging with the displays and speaking with the exhibition team — particularly with Hafiz Yusuf, who provided detailed insight into the artefacts and their cultural and historical context

MP Thomas took a personal interest in the exhibition, asking thoughtful questions and learning more about the sacred relics on display — including artefacts crafted with gold and silver thread, some dating back over 700 years. He was visibly impressed by the craftsmanship, the historical richness, and the scale of what the exhibition offered

He also captured parts of the experience through a live video, sharing moments from the event and taking photos throughout his visit. MP Thomas commented on the positive crowd atmosphere, the immersive walk-through experience, and the overall quality of the event. He showed clear appreciation for how the exhibition was presented, describing it as visually stunning and educationally powerful

The exhibition team, including Hafiz Yusuf, shared with him the long-term vision of establishing a permanent Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery in the UK. MP Thomas expressed support for the idea and recognised the value such a gallery would bring to the local and wider community — especially in promoting interfaith understanding, cultural education, and appreciation of sacred Islamic art
