KISWAT AL KAABA – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between each participant, attendee, visitor, guest, registrant, or other individual (collectively referred to as “you” or “Attendee”) and Kiswat Al Kaaba (“we,” “us,” or “the Organizer”), governing all aspects of your access to and participation in exhibitions, displays, installations, showcases, public or private viewings, workshops, and related cultural presentations (collectively, the “Exhibitions”) curated and presented by us, Kiswat Al Kaaba.
By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, attending, or participating in any Exhibition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by the terms herein. If you do not agree to these Terms, in whole or in part, you must not attend or participate.
2. Event Participation and Access
2.1 Registration and Entry Requirements
- Attendees must register in advance through official channels as directed on our website or via authorized third-party ticketing platforms.
- Event admission is granted exclusively to individuals with valid registration or ticket confirmation.
- Kiswat Al Kaaba reserves the right to deny entry to any individual whose registration or credentials are incomplete, invalid, or suspicious.
- For security and verification purposes, government-issued identification may be requested at the venue or entry point.
2.2 Bag Check Policy
- All attendees, regardless of ticket type or status, may be subject to mandatory bag checks or personal item inspections upon entry to the Event venue and at any time during the Event.
- Bag checks are conducted by authorized security personnel for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees, staff, and participants.
- Refusal to comply with bag checks may result in denial of entry or removal from the premises without refund.
2.3 Additional Screening Measures
- Attendees may also be subject to:
- Walk-through metal detectors or handheld screening devices;
- Visual inspections of coats, pockets, or accessories;
- Random security checks throughout the venue during the Event.
2.4 Permitted and Prohibited Items
- Only small bags (e.g., handbags, clutches, or small backpacks) may be permitted. Oversized bags or luggage may be denied entry or must be stored at designated areas if available.
- The following items are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated if found:
a) Weapons or any item resembling a weapon (including replicas and toys);
b) Sharp objects (e.g., scissors, knives, tools);
c) Flammable materials, aerosols, fireworks, or explosives;
d) Illegal substances or narcotics;
e) Alcohol;
f) Outside food and beverages (subject to venue policy);
g) Glass containers, metal water bottles, or any item deemed hazardous.
2.5 Exhibition-Specific Rules
- Some Exhibitions may include additional guidelines, including but not limited to dress codes, entry time windows, mobile device usage, or quiet zones.
- These requirements are supplementary to this Agreement and must be adhered to in full.
- Access to certain installations or curated spaces may require separate permissions, time slots, or attendee waivers.
2.6 Cooperation with Security Personnel
- All attendees must cooperate fully and respectfully with venue staff and security personnel at all times.
- Aggressive or non-compliant behaviour during a security check may result in immediate removal and potential involvement of law enforcement.
2.7 Age Requirements
- Events may impose minimum or maximum age limits. This will be indicated in the Event description or at the point of ticket purchase.
- Children under the age of [Insert Age] must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
- The Organizer is not liable for the supervision, safety, or well-being of minors. All responsibility lies with the accompanying adult.
3. Conduct, Health & Safety, and Security
3.1 General Behaviour Expectations
• Attendees must behave in a respectful, non-disruptive manner at all times. Disorderly conduct, intoxication, aggression, or harassment will result in immediate removal.
• Disrespect or defamation toward artists, staff, other guests, or cultural and religious elements of an exhibit will not be tolerated.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct
- The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in expulsion and legal action
a) Vandalism or damage to property;
b) Unauthorized access to restricted areas;
c) Use of foul, discriminatory, or abusive language;
d) Harassment, threats, or intimidation.
3.3 Prohibited Items
- Refer to Point 2.3 of these terms.
3.4 Commitment to Safety
Kiswat Al Kaaba is committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all attendees, staff, volunteers, and participants. We take health and safety seriously and require all individuals on-site to do the same by adhering to relevant policies and instructions at all times.
3.4.1 Compliance with Venue and Safety Protocols
All attendees must comply with health and safety procedures in place at the venue. This may include:
- Respecting capacity limits in enclosed or designated areas;
- Following posted safety signage and crowd flow systems;
- Complying with instructions from staff, stewards, and security personnel;
- Using hand sanitation stations where provided.
- Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
3.4.2 Medical and First Aid
If you feel unwell or sustain an injury during the event:
- Contact a member of staff or security immediately;
- Seek assistance from the designated first aid area or on-site medical personnel;
- Remain calm and follow directions provided by trained responders.
- Kiswat Al Kaaba works with venue partners to ensure first aid services are available at all major events.
3.4.3 Personal Responsibility
Attendees are expected to take reasonable care of their own health and safety, including:
- Bringing and using any necessary personal medications or mobility aids;
- Dressing appropriately for the venue and weather conditions;
- Remaining alert and aware of surroundings, exits, and emergency points.
You acknowledge that your attendance is voluntary and at your own risk, and that you are personally responsible for your well-being throughout your time at the event.
3.4.4 Changes and Notifications
Kiswat Al Kaaba reserves the right to update or modify health and safety requirements based on local conditions, legal regulations, or venue policies. While we aim to notify attendees of major changes, it is your responsibility to review all safety-related information prior to the event date.
4. Art, Exhibitions, and Intellectual Property
4.1 Interaction with Artworks
- Unless explicitly permitted, physical contact with any exhibit, display, installation, or artwork is strictly prohibited.
- Any intentional or negligent damage to property may lead to financial liability, removal, or prosecution.
4.2 Media and Photography
- Photography, video recording, and live streaming are only permitted in designated areas and under specified conditions.
- Certain exhibitions may ban photography entirely to preserve the integrity or cultural significance of the display.
- Attendees may be filmed, photographed, or recorded for documentation, marketing, or promotional purposes. By entering the Event premises, you grant Kiswat Al Kaaba a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your likeness, image, and voice in all media formats globally, unless you formally opt out prior to the Event
4.3 Social Media Sharing
- Official Promotion: The event will be promoted via the official social media platforms of both Host Venue and Kiswat Al Kaaba. This includes platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and TikTok.
- Content Creation: Kiswat Al Kaaba will create and share promotional content, including images, reels, and stories showcasing key elements of the exhibition, prior to and during the event.
- Tagging and Mentions: We will tag and mention host venues and relevant community organisations in all official posts related to the event to maximise visibility and engagement.
- Cross-Promotion: Host venues are encouraged to repost, share, and engage with content shared by Kiswat Al Kaaba to boost outreach. Social media handles must be provided by the host venue in advance.
- Consent for Media Use: By agreeing to host the exhibition, the venue consents to the use of photographs and videos taken during the event for use in promotional materials, post-event highlights, and social media posts by Kiswat Al Kaaba and affiliated platforms
4.4 Content Ownership
- All exhibits, content, branding, and media (including video, sound, and photography) remain the intellectual property of Kiswat Al Kaaba or the respective artists, collaborators, and licensors.
- Copying, reproduction, redistribution, publication, or commercial use of any content without written permission is strictly prohibited.
5. Ticketing, Refunds, and Payments
5.1 Purchase and Validity
- Tickets must be purchased through authorized channels only. Counterfeit, duplicated, or otherwise invalid tickets will be rejected at entry.
- All ticket sales are final unless expressly stated otherwise in the purchase agreement.
5.2 Transfers and Resale
- Tickets are non-transferable without prior written consent from the Organizer.
- Unauthorized resale for commercial gain is prohibited and may result in cancellation without refund.
5.3 Refund and Cancellation Policy
- In the event of cancellation by the Organizer, affected attendees will be eligible for a full or partial refund, as determined by Kiswat Al Kaaba.
- No refunds will be issued for no-shows, late arrivals, or removals due to behavioural violations.
- Events postponed due to force majeure (see Section 8) may be rescheduled, and original tickets will remain valid.
6. Liability, Risk, and Disclaimer
6.1 Voluntary Assumption of Risk
- Attendance and participation in Events is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.
- You acknowledge the possibility of physical injury, illness (including exposure to viruses), or loss and voluntarily assume all associated risks.
6.2 Organizer Disclaimers
- Kiswat Al Kaaba is not responsible for;
a) Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property;
b) Parking violations, fines, or vehicle damage;
c) Third-party services provided on-site, such as food vendors, merchandise sellers, or partner exhibitions.
6.3 Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiswat Al Kaaba, its employees, affiliates, partners, artists, and sponsors from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising from your attendance or conduct at the Event.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Collection of Data
- By registering or attending, you consent to the collection of personal data for administrative, security, and marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Data Usage
- Data may be shared with third-party vendors (e.g., ticketing, mailing platforms) solely for Event-related operations.
- Kiswat Al Kaaba will never sell your personal information without consent.
8. Force Majeure
Kiswat Al Kaaba shall not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
a) Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods);
b) Pandemic or public health emergencies;
c) War, terrorism, civil unrest;
d) Labor disputes, strikes, or industrial actions;
e) Government orders, embargoes, or restrictions.
9. Amendments and Updates
9.1 Right to Modify
- Kiswat Al Kaaba reserves the right to revise, update, or amend these Terms at its sole discretion. All changes will be effective upon publication to our website or notification to registered attendees.
9.2 Notification
- It is the attendee’s responsibility to review the Terms periodically. Continued attendance or registration after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.
10. Third-Party Rights and Assignment
10.1 Rights of Third Parties
- These Terms and Conditions are intended solely for the benefit of the parties involved. No third party shall have any right to enforce or rely upon any provision of these Terms.
10.2 Assignment and Delegation
- We reserve the right to assign, transfer, or delegate any of our rights or obligations under these Terms to another party at our discretion.
- You may not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations without our prior written approval.
10.3 No Waiver
- If we choose not to enforce any part of these Terms at any time, this shall not be considered a waiver of our rights. We reserve the right to enforce our rights at any time in the future, whether against the same or a different individual.

12. Final Acknowledgement and Acceptance
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, attending, participating in, or otherwise engaging with any event, exhibition, program, or affiliated activity organized, hosted, or facilitated by Kiswat Al Kaaba (collectively referred to as “Events”), you explicitly confirm, acknowledge, and agree to the following:
12.1 Full Agreement
- You confirm that you have carefully read, fully understood, and agreed to be legally bound by the entirety of these Terms and Conditions, including all applicable policies, rules, and any supplemental guidelines provided by Kiswat Al Kaaba, whether presented prior to, during, or following the Event.
12.2 Responsibility and Conduct
- You acknowledge your personal responsibility to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with these Terms, including adherence to all safety protocols, behavioural expectations, and venue-specific regulations.
- You understand that failure to do so may result in your removal from the Event, cancellation of your ticket or registration, and potential further action, including legal consequences.
12.3 Risk Awareness and Assumption
- You voluntarily assume all inherent and foreseeable risks associated with attendance at the Event, including but not limited to:
a) Personal injury, illness, or medical incidents;
b) Exposure to contagious diseases;
c) Theft, damage, or loss of personal belongings;
d) Disruption, cancellation, or modification of the Event due to external circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control.
You acknowledge that your participation is entirely voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion and risk.
12.4 Legal Capacity
- You confirm that you are of legal age or otherwise authorized to enter into this agreement on your own behalf or on behalf of any minor or group you are registering or accompanying.
- You further affirm that you have the legal authority to accept and agree to these Terms.
12.5 Binding Nature
These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between you and Kiswat Al Kaaba. Your participation signifies your unconditional acceptance of the rights, responsibilities, limitations, and conditions contained herein
