The Kiswat-al-Kaaba Exhibition at Dewsbury Town Hall on Saturday 12th July 2025 was a truly special occasion, bringing together residents from all backgrounds to experience the sacred cloth of the Kaaba and rare artefacts from Makkah and Madinah. The event, part-funded through the Dewsbury ward councillors’ budget, was a celebration of shared heritage, education and community pride.
Cllr Cathy Scott, Cllr Masood Ahmed all proud members of Community Alliance, attended and supported the event alongside Cllr Hanifa Darwan, recognising the importance of inclusive cultural events in building a stronger, more connected Dewsbury. We extend our thanks to the organisers for their vision and dedication in delivering such a well-attended and meaningful exhibition. It’s initiatives like these that show the power of community in action.
