Sunday, 29th June 2025 – Harrow, London
A number of civic leaders and dignitaries attended the Kiswat Al Kaaba Exhibition at Harrow Central Mosque, taking the opportunity to explore the powerful and inspiring display of sacred Islamic artefacts. The exhibition featured rare historical items including the Kiswah of the Kaaba, the Kaaba door, Rawdah coverings, and the original locks and keys from the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah — some dating back over 700 years.
Guests, including Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson, Mayor Anjana Patel, Former Mayor Ghazanfar Ali, Superintendent Zubin Writer, and local councillors and community leaders, were seen engaging with the exhibition, taking in the spiritual atmosphere and observing the items on display. Many took photos and shared moments from the event, helping amplify its reach
While individual remarks were not officially recorded, their presence added a meaningful layer of support and recognition to the occasion. The event welcomed thousands of visitors and helped promote greater understanding of Islamic heritage and cultural history among diverse audiences.
Hosted by the Executive Committee of Harrow Central Mosque — including Chairman Mr. Tufail Ahmed, Head Imam Professor Hafiz Akram, and Head of Education Mr. Muhammad Amar — the exhibition served as a powerful reminder of the value of cultural preservation and intercommunity engagement.
