Kiswat Al-Kaaba Exhibition Unites Community at Masjid Falaah, Birmingham
Birmingham, Saturday 5th April 2025 – Masjid Falaah in Birmingham became a centre of spiritual reflection and cultural connection as it hosted the Kiswat Al-Kaaba Exhibition, featuring authentic artefacts of the sacred cloth that once adorned the Kaaba in Makkah

The exhibition drew a diverse audience and notable guests, including MP Ayoub Khan and Waseem Zafar MBE, who attended in support of the initiative. Their warm presence and humble engagement with the event were deeply appreciated by the organisers and community members alike

A highlight of the day was the guided narrative delivered by Sheikh Ilyas, who walked guests through the exhibition, offering rich insight into the spiritual and historical significance of the Kiswat Al-Kaaba. Both Ayoub Khan MP and Waseem Zafar MBE listened with attentiveness and respect, showing a clear understanding of the exhibition’s deeper mission—community empowerment, education, and intercultural dialogue

“They truly understood the heart of what this exhibition is about,” one organiser remarked. “It’s more than artefacts—it’s about bringing people together, sharing sacred heritage, and promoting unity through understanding.”

The exhibition promoted key community values:
Cultural Education – Giving the public access to rare Islamic artefacts in an accessible, informative setting.
Interfaith & Civic Engagement – Welcoming leaders from different walks of life to witness and reflect on sacred heritage.
Community Empowerment – Encouraging local residents to participate in cultural and educational initiatives rooted in faith and shared values.
Volunteers and supporters from Masjid Falaah played a critical role in the success of the exhibition, from logistics and hosting to outreach and community awareness. Their tireless efforts were acknowledged by all in attendance.
As the event concluded, guests left not only with admiration for the beauty of the Kiswah but with a deeper appreciation for its message: unity, respect, and shared cultural legacy
