Mayor Anjana Patel Shows Strong Support at Kiswat Al Kaaba Exhibition

Mayor Anjana Patel attended the Kiswat Al Kaaba Exhibition at Harrow Central Mosque, spending a significant amount of time at the event and showing genuine interest in the sacred Islamic artefacts on display. She took a close and thoughtful look at the historic pieces, including the Kiswah of the Kaaba, the Kaaba door, the Rawdah coverings, and the original locks and keys from the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah — some of which date back over 700 years

Mayor Patel expressed her admiration for the artistry and cultural importance of the exhibition and shared a few words during the event, acknowledging the effort behind the showcase and its value in promoting education, unity, and cultural understanding

Her presence reflected strong civic support for the preservation of Islamic heritage and the long-term vision of establishing a permanent Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery in the UK

The exhibition, hosted by the Executive Committee of Harrow Central Mosque, welcomed thousands of visitors and featured live recitations, international livestreaming, and participation from a range of dignitaries and community leaders — all united in celebrating a rich cultural tradition
