Covering the Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery Exhibition at St Lawrence Academy on the 21st of August 2025 was both enlightening and humbling

 

The artefacts on display were not only visually stunning but carried with them centuries of Islamic history, culture, and heritage

Through the thoughtful narration delivered by Hafiz Yusuf, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual and cultural significance these pieces hold for Muslims worldwide. It was clear that this exhibition is more than a display; it is a bridge of understanding between communities

The response from those in attendance, including Cllr Mashooq Ali, reflected the importance of such initiatives in promoting dialogue, respect, and shared appreciation of heritage
