Birmingham, UK — 28th June 2025:

Award-winning NHS consultant and BBC MasterChef 2017 Champion, Dr Saliha Mahmood Ahmed, made a heartfelt visit to the Kiswat al-Kaaba Exhibition stand at the BIMA National Conference 2025, where she offered not only her admiration but also meaningful mentorship and support to the team behind the powerful display of sacred Islamic heritage

Known for her dual excellence in medicine and culinary arts, Dr Saliha engaged warmly with the Kiswat al-Kaaba team, taking time to understand the long-term vision of preserving authentic Kiswah artefacts from the Holy Kaaba and Rawdah. She was introduced to the idea of establishing the Kiswa Arts & Culture Gallery—a future hub dedicated to education, community empowerment, and interfaith dialogue

The team were delighted to recognise her from her celebrated BBC MasterChef victory, but also admired her humility, professionalism, and genuine encouragement. During her visit, she kindly purchased merchandise in support of the exhibition’s mission and shared words of wisdom with the organisers

“She gave her time, effort, and mentorship with such sincerity. Her visit reminded us of the importance of preserving heritage while empowering the community,” said one team member

Dr Saliha’s presence was a standout moment at the event, symbolising the fusion of faith, professionalism, and community-building that the Kiswah initiative strives to embody
